I am so overwhelmed with credit cards bills, finally this month my husband and I have been late. We have used up all of our savings but could no longer keep up. We live in California, and searching for a good company to get into. But what is better Debt Mgmt. or debt counseling? We have searched the BBB but so much we are lost... Can someone help us? Tasha, sign up in this website for a free counseling. You will hear from a consultant in your area and he will discuss about your repayment options. He will call your creditors and negotiate for a lower repayment plan at reduced interest rates. Show him all your debt accounts and the latest statements to figure out a suitable plan.

You are under no obligation to sign up for the services of the consultation company. You can take the counseling and negotiate with your creditors on your own. There's a DIY section in this website. Go through it for tips on self negotiations with the creditors.
