My mom is 85 and has 10000 on one credit card. She can't make any headway on paying the card off or even down. She is one SS. Is there any help out there.

You might want to look into a DMP. It will get her one payment with lower aprs. If she can`t afford to make the minimum payments or dmp program than you may want to consider a debt settlement program.

I think that the advice that mobile has offered is good, have you tried contacting the cc co to work out an arrangement. Perhaps they would be willing to work with her since she is on ss. I hope that the cc account has been closed so no more charges can be put on there.
