I just wanted to thank everybody for their help in showing me a way to get out of this payday loan mess. I was in utter depair back in October, and I don't know what I would have done id I had not found this website. But lately things have gotten so nasty to the point my husband and I are filing a police report today in regards to a threat I got through these boards. But I wanted to acknowledge Kyside, Polly, Jessi, Finsfan and a whole lot of others for their great advice. I donated all my points to DBaker. You have been so sweet an supportive and I dont think you could attack anyone if you tried. Plus I've got a soft spot for Pooh Bear. Good luck and keep up the good fight. Just not against each other. I am so glad you have gotten some help here! I am sorry you have to get involved with the police and hope you get that taken care of. You are right in the respect that we should all be here for one purpose, to help others. I hope you get a chance to come back and share with others how you have handled your debt, it could help others . Good Luck...Karen Very Happy

It's never wanted, but somehow it happens. Bad people want to attack the good one with their threats. When you leave, they win with the hope they can break another good person.

cbigfan7, be clear, no one watching this board can do anything against you. Don't live with the fear that someone is going to attack you just because you were posting something on the internet. It is the bad company who does not want to see they are going down in front of everyone. That's the reason they catch someone who is their biggest threat.

Nothing will happen to you, trust me. Don't sleep with the fear inside you.

Does anyone know if the threat was from some company reading the posts, or from another member? Either way I think that it's just sick, and I wish you the best of luck and a merry christmas cbigfan, I hope you don't leave!

I am so sorry that this has happened to you and ask that you please stay. To echo another post, once you leave,the bad apples do indeed win.
I think we really need to establish ground rules here and ask that people who make threats like this be permanently banned from the boards. What do you all think?

Threats are attempts to stop you from what you are doing. If it's a threat from some PDL, I would think it's total crap and done by someone with little brain function or morals. Filing a police report is a good thing. I wouldn't let them push you around, though.

Seriously, though I agree with the post above---don't listen and put any stock in someone's words of stupidity. (I am assuming they were just words on this board and not "in person" or any other way)
