My third and last pdl just settled with me. I had
sent 3 letters to Paragon funding. They finally e-mailed me today saying they did not accept my settlement offer which is to pay them the last 30.00 on the balance and be done with it, and they were turning me over to a collection agency. I e-mailed back that they knew the loan was not legal when they issued it, even if I didn't. I also told them I am sure the Attorney General's offoce will agree with me.

She e-mailed back that they would debit the last $30.00 and marked the account. I told her I had revoked that option. (The account is closed) I told her I would mail them a money order and then I better have the paperwork that the account is paid in full.

She also said she was telling all their "sister" companies about me. I guess she really believed that was intimidating to me.I told her I wish she would tell every pdl lender in the world about me, just in case stupidity takes over my brain again.

So that's the last one. The kindness and help this site has shown me is something I will be eternally thankful for. If it's ok, I think I'll continue to read and try to post things that might help someone else.

And by all means stick around and help others through the pdl mess! You will be a valuable asset, so it would be great if you stuck around! We learn from our mistakes and along the way we learn how to correct them. And the best thing to do is to pass that knowledge on to others.

Hey Sam, congratulations on your success. I remember when you came here on the first day and were in so much panic. You were looking for all sorts of letters and proposing settlements to the companies. Most of them were violating the laws in your state and you were never aware about that. It's so nice to hear that you are now out of all this mess and are willing to help others. You framed the sample letters to the lenders and posted here for others. It will help many. Keep in touch.

Congratulations Sam! I know you are relieved. I also have good news. ameriloan responded to my complaint about them to the BBB and have marked my account paid in full. 4 more to go! My 1 loan with a store front pdl has agreed to let me pay $20.00 a week until I get them paid off. I owe them $577.50. This site has been so helpful. I love it!

I had a loan with ameriloan, I didn't file a complaint with the BBB, I want a refund, so I think I'll be filing one with the BBB, that is the only one I haven't filed on with that agency. (Which location did you file your complaint? Can you pm me the website? I did a few BBB complaints located in NM) Thanks! Again Good Job!
