|
|
I have several store front and several online loans.
online:
oneclickcash
arrowhead investments
ameriloan
Gfsil
I have already closed my bank account and the online companies are calling me at my workplace and home - here are my questions.
1-what will happen if I don't communicate with the online payday loans now that they cannot debit my account?
2-i live in arkansas; what laws apply to me for these companies...are they licensed for arkansas?
thanks for any help.

Here is a site to look up your state laws. http://www.paydayloaninfo.org Also contact your Attorney General consumer division and file a complaint. I think its legal there for check cashers only. The AG can give you the details. Best Wishes KYSIDE38

I guess I don't understand why I file a complaint against the companies, when I am the one who stupidly fell for their loan. Do I have anything to back me up for filing a complaing?
Can these companies claim a hot check from my City Attorney if I do not contact them and make arrangements? I'm just wondering what will happen if I don't contact them (the online loan companies)at all.
I am still paying on the local storefront ones, it is the online ones that I have stopped communication and payments with.

Thes companies are probably not licensed to do business in your state. Check on the Secretary of State to see if they are licensed. KYSIDE38

Keep in mind that you have the loans from the online lenders. You will have to pay them back in order to avoid their aggressive collection procedures. Be aware of your state laws and make payment arrangements after calculating the previous payments from your bank statement.
The lenders might intimidate you in paying more than actual. You will be filing your complaints for this reason. Be informed of your rights.

for the arrangements, do I need to pay back just the loan amount, or also the fees due on top of the loans. and if I have overpaid some of them (paid the loan amount plus fees on top of it), can I get my money back?

Shae, refunds are pretty hard to come by especially with the companies you have listed. But in never hurts to try. You pay back principal and what your state allows in interest. KYSIDE38

I'm asking this question for my cousin--She just informed me that she applied for a pdl with ameriloan using her savings account. It told her she was approved for a $200 loan and she would receive a confirmation e-mail. Well, I guess she never got the email, so has anyone ever applied with Ameriloan and they deposited the money in your account even though they never sent a confirmation e-mail?
I could kick her a$$ for doing this b/c she knows the mess I'm going through. I couldn't answer her question b/c Ameriloan is not one of the companies that I have a pdls with. Has anyone ever had this happen to them?

That can be the catch! The company sending the money without a contract. You don't have papers to prove the terms signed with the company on interest rates and fees. They will think you are an uninformed customer and will make debits as they want. Don't let them drain your cousin into the negatives. Ask her to send a letter to ameriloan and return the money. Once done, keep a check on the account because Ameriloan has her checking account info and you don't want any suspicious transaction by them. Changing the account will be better.

Brownsugar, I would tell your cousin to close that account or they will drain it. They are famous for this one also. I think they are one of the very few companies that will let you use a savings account. KYSIDE38

Hi daniellemanigault, what you need to do is close your bank acct and then they can't take anymore of your money. What companies are you dealing with, we can help you here figure the mess out
