Too many credit cards and barely enough money

My husband and I just got married in July and paid for our wedding by ourselves-- mostly on our credit cards. Now we have too many credit cards and barely enough money (and some days not even enough) to make the minimum payments. I've been late paying them and now our credit is so bad that we can't get a consolidation loan from anywhere?!?!

NEED HELP!!!

Perhaps, a consolidation program will be a good choice for you. You will be able to put control on your credit card debts and stop them from adding further charges. Things will get tougher if you aren't putting it under control. Try a free quote from a debt counselor and see if it helps in your case.

Welcome to the forums Very Happy First off, know that you aren't alone. If you signed up for the free credit counseling ,someone will contact you soon.Sometimes, consolidation, instead of consolidation loan can benefit you. You will have lower interest, one payment a month, and hopefully will soon get you on your feet! Congrats on the wedding...Karen

luckyfinwa and mandaboo4, it sounds like both of you should consider a debt management program (also known as debt consolidation or credit counseling). This is not a loan, so you do not need a great credit score or anything. In fact, it is designed to help you improve your credit and get out of debt. Whatever you do, you certainly want to act soon. The longer you wait, the farther you'll fall into debt and the less options you will have. I've seen far too many people wait until they have no other option except for bankruptcy, and I'm sure both of you would like to avoid that.
