got into credit card debt in college now out i have been paying the minimum and have gone over my limit amount and can't pay it i need help and i am 2 bills late

If this makes you feel any better ....I have been in default on about $36,000+ now for quite a while in student loans...and no-one has eaten me or arrested me yet. It seems like you need some professional help in catching up on your payments. How much is your total debt?

Do you have a job at this time? It will be easier for you in making the payments. A counselor referred from this website will be calling to discuss your options and negotiate with your creditors. He will fix up an easy plan with your creditors.

if i make settlement with credit card company for 30% ,do i need it in writing,if they have agreeded on phone can i trust them to honor phone agreememt?

No, you need to be on the safer side and have a proof of the settlement in writing. This proof will be useful in case there's a dispute with the company later.

any settlement must be in writing before you give them money... do not give them access to your bank accounts... and do not send post dated checks.

these people lie and break federal law daily... they will clean your account out if you give them a chance.
