Anyone who has dealt with them-I would appreciate any feedback. I took out a $200 loan with this company ahd have paid them $180 thus far. I have the cash to pay them what I have borrowed. My question is, do I send them $20 to pay off the principle, or pay them $30 in fees also? I would like to mail them a money order and a letter today and get them taken care of.

I would pay them the 20 and the 30-that way you are covered legally in the state of OH and then be done with them

Pay them only what you owe them which is the $20. Don't pay them anymore than necessary. I am glad that you are paying them off though because these PDLs can be ridiculous.
I have United Cash Loan as well and I turned them over to the debt consolidation firm that I am working with. When I tried to offer them a settlement, they have the audacity to send me documents for another loan. That is beyond ridiculous!

I would pay the $20.00 by money order and as far as I was concerned it was PIF

I dealt with them also and actually got a refund for over paid charges. In your case, if you have the extra 30 and you think you owe that as well, then by all means send it so you can be DONE with them. Ask for some type of verification letter regarding the loan.

United Cash Loan is one of the DBA names of Rio Resources. There have been many complaints against them about their illegal charges. Make sure that they are following the laws and the contract is free from any disputes.

Well they are definitely in violation of Ohio's laws. Ohio allows no rollovers and caps interest at $15 per $100 for a 14 day loan. I will be sending them a money order tomorrow along with a request to be PIF. Thanks everyone who responded to me. This site has literally saved my life. I am not out of the woods yet but at least now I have hope. I was seriously thinking about suicide before I found this forum and all you wonderful, helpful people. I am so glad that I am not the only one in this situation.

By the way, does anyone have a good address for United Cash Loans? I have like 5 different ones. I am afraid that I will send the money order somewhere and they won't get it.

I'm glad to hear that you will have them paid off because they can be real pains in the butt. If they give you any more flack after you send in the payment, file complaints against them with the Attorney General's Office.

Oh, those little suckers tried to do a check on my account. Husband is on the way to the bank to try to get this taken care of. They put one thru for $65, which of course added another $32 in OD fees to my account! Trying to get that thing to a zero balance. Should have known them being quite and such should have been a sign. Hopefully he can get this reversed.

My bank account is overdrawn $408 also, due to these places. The bank won't let me close it until I pay it off but there is no way that I am going to be able to get that done anytime soon so I am sure they will try to do a check on my account, too. I guess the bank is going to close my account after 30 days.

Oh, he is going to also try to get the overdraft charges for this reversed also. Not sure if the bank will do that or not, but keeping my fingers crossed.
