hello,
i was wondering if this was the payday loan plce i received a loan from? if so will someone please respond to me asap. im in a bad situation and having a financial hardship with my bills. the situation accured when a company took monies from my account and was not suppose to. this caused me to go into overdrafts, and the bank ended up closing my acoount because they told me that i would never catch up and all my paychecks were being waisted because the bank was taking my funds to cover for what the company had done to me. i reported them to the better business buearu and i have a few payday loans that want to take me to court. i didn't close my account on my doing, the bank felt that it would be in my best intrest. i need help.

hello again,
i ws wondering if there was anything i could do? im not the type of person to not pay there bills, but i found out that payday loans are illegal in my state. does that help me, if they try to give me a record.

What state are you in? If they are illegal in your state I am safe to assume that these are interenet and not storefront pdls. Since they are illegal you are only obligated to payback the principal balance only, and if you have already paid that back with the illegal roll overs and interest charges then you should demand they mark you paid in full. You need to file a complaint with your AGs office as well.

im in elizabeth city nc. i don't know how much i've paid because everything was coming out of my account. i don't know what to do because they are saying that they might take me to court and that i will have a record. they say that they are going to issue an affadavid on me.

Pdl's are illegal in nc...i live in nc too and i have had several. I just got my paid in full letter from one of them and am waiting for the others. If you have paid back the initial loan amount then you are done with them. Who are the companies??

vc funding, arrowhead funding, ameriloan, emarel funding, payday sevices and i think there is one more, but only three of those companies has a peson call me at work tonight saying that one loan was 490,700, and 540. the lady said that interest has accured, and thats why it's so much and that i had to pay 490 by friday, or i would get into trouble and had a record. the lady also told me to get the money from family. she said the us national bank were the one that issued me the money and they are the ones that is fileing the complaint. she said that the payday loan people won't talk to me, but tonight i called them and left a message. im really worried that they are goign to get me,

If you have paid back the principal that is all you are required to pay. I spoke with the NC AG and he instructed me to do that. Since they are illegal in NC, you are not required to pay back interest or fees. They will threaten you, but I know, b/c I have been through this and have filed several complaints with the AG's office on them. Once you calculate how much you have paid, send them a settlement letter that you can get from http://pollyandsay.yesdebtfree.org
and email, mail, and fax it if you can. It will allow you to change the name of the company and fill in the NC laws on payday loans. Let me know if you need any of the info for NC laws and I will post it here.

Ok, do you have any idea how much you have paid back?? If not, I would check it out, and if it is more than the principal loan, I would start sending letters..

You can actually go here http://www.ncdoj.com/
That will take you directly to the site, then you will click on consumer protection, and go to complaint form. You will have to print it off and fill it out, then mail it. Before I sent mine, I calculated how much I paid so I would have the exact info. Good luck and let me know if you need anything else..
