Who is in a consolidation program, already finished with one, or had one fail? Have any of you dealt with T & C and what was like dealing with them? The girl I talked to at T&C yesterday made everything sound so easy to deal with. I had another counselor call me today from this site and she told me she doesn't see how they (T&C) could make my payments so low and extend them for 21 months. She said that all the pdl companies would turn me over to collection agencies and that it would go against my credit. I have worked so hard to clean my credit up, the last thing I want is something negative on there. How many loans did you have and how many and what companies did you have them with? I know that they are some companies that are willing to work with you while others will probably refuse to make any arrangements. Any advice would help! Thanks!

Hi JENNEE26
You find the proposal put by T&C fair enough in your situation? Have you reviewed the contract if everything has been mentioned clearly? Basically, you must understand everything very clearly before signing them for the services. There should be no hidden factors that can cause disputes at the later stage. Some people here are using T&C and so far, there have been good feedbacks about them.

I did read over the contract but it seems strange that these pdl companies would be willing to let me take 21 months to pay them back. Is it better to pay off the difficult ones upfront and put the easy ones in the consolidation program? I am just very worried about anything going on my credit. I have worked so hard to repair my credit. The last thing I want is a new negative mark. I want to buy a house next year, well... maybe... I am in Tampa and the prices are so crazy right now. Anyway, I just want to make sure that if I do go with T & C that I won't get screwed. The lady at the other consolidation company I spoke with today put a lot of doubt in my mind about T & C.

Have you been to my blog yet? I have a letter there for settlement with internet lenders. GFS/aka Cash Today has a special letter over there. Have you paid the principal on all of these yet? Also what state are you in?

No, I have not been to your blog yet but i will go to it now. I have been paying the fees but 5 of them are due tomorrow and will be returned. I spoke with my bank and the woman closed my account and opened another 1 for me so the pdl companies can't keep trying to debit my account. I have all intentions of paying them, just can't keep rolling them over. I am in Florida. I ma not sure what the rules are here.

Florida has some good usury laws. I'll look them up here in a bit.

Thanks for everything. I always like to handle things myself cuz I know what is being done. I look at this sorta like credit repair. Credit repair companies want to charge an insane amount of money to contact the credit bureaus, I contacted all of them myself and had all the incorrect stuff erased and almost all of the inquiries too. I feel uncomfortable putting something like this in another persons hands cuz I am scared I might get screwed. Do you know if the pdl companies will report you to the credit bureau if you take too long to pay them?

The chances of a internet payday lender reporting to a credit bureau is really small. You see all of those companies you listed are not licensed to lend in any state in this country. erzeke1 is also from Florida. She is going to be very helpful to you.

How did you get your inquiries erased? What type of inquiries were they and who did you contact?

Danni05:
Equifax is the easiest to get them erased. Get a recent copy of your credit report, call them, and dispute away! They automatically erase them and they are the the credit agency that most people use. As far as the other ones, you have to write a letter to each creditor that made the inquirie. Tell them that you do not recall doing an application with them and you want this inquirie removed. Tell them that unless they can send you proof that you did infact do an application and authorize them to pull your credit that by law they have to erase it. Send the letters certified and also CC the credit bureau. If you don't hear back from them in 30 days, call and inquire again. Normally, they do not have proof that you gave them permission and if you threaten them, they will tell the credit bureaus to erase them. I will send you a copy of 1 of the letters I sent if you would like.

Also get your local and state government involved. Chances are if you have more than one PDL your Govt would like to know, so they can get the wheels turning to take action against these predators. I was told by a lawyer that if you know you are not going to be able to pay them before due date, close your acct. and then get the help you need because sometimes the help you need wont come before the due date. It will end up costing these companies more to take civil action than to work out a payment plan with you, and if you know others with the same problems you have with the same companies, well, what would these companies do if all there clients REVOLTED at the same time That is what I am making part of my advocacy against PDLs, to get more of us poor souls to get back and get even with these low-life companies maybe if enough of us get involved we could make them go BANKRUPT. Stand up Straight take it to the top in your state.

Dear Credit Department,
I recently received a copy of my TransUnion credit report. The credit report showed a credit inquiry by your company that I do not recall authorizing. I understand that you shouldn't be allowed to put an inquiry on my file unless I have authorized it. Please have this inquiry removed from my credit file because it was not authorized by me.
I have sent this letter certified mail because I need your prompt response to this issue. Please be so kind as to forward me documentation that you have had the unauthorized inquiry removed.
If you find that I am remiss, and you did have my authorization to inquire into my credit report, please send me actual proof of where I signed a document requesting this.
I am also sending a copy of this letter to the credit bureaus for their records. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated
Thanking you in advance, |
Hope this helps! As far as inaccuracies, you can dispute credit items online with the credit bureaus. They make it very easy these days. Good Luck!
