I had a loan with Prosper which is a peer to peer lending community. The experience was great. Just go to their website and there are instructions on how to join and how to apply for a loan. Not hard at all.

You have to have a 640 and above score for prosper.
How to Deal with Illegal Loans..OhioGal's Primer http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com...allenders.html PDL's are ILLEGAL in the following states...
AR, AZ, CT, GA, ME, MD, MA, NJ, NY, NC, PA, VT AND DC
OH AND NH have very restrictive low cost interest rate laws.
Lending Club requires a 660 score and Prosper requires a 640 score. The APRs though, are based on other criteria such as your debt-to-income ratio and the number of credit lines outstanding. The highest-graded borrowers could get a loan for under 7%, though APRs could run up to over 30% for the most risky profiles.

By signing up for counseling session, your provided details (Name, Email ID and Phone No.) will be forwarded to the company advertising on the DebtCC. However, you have no obligation to use their services.
Some creditors and collection agencies refuse to lower the pay off amount, interest rate, and fees owed by the consumer.
Creditors/collection agencies can make collection calls and file lawsuits against the consumers represented by the debt relief companies.
Debt relief services may have a negative impact on the consumer's creditworthiness and his overall debt amount may increase due to the accumulation of extra fees.
The amount which the consumer saves with the use of debt relief services can be regarded as taxable income.

It looks like a good way to reduce high-interest CC debt. I wonder what the approval rate is.

HMMM. 640. I just saw a commercial for CreditKarma.com, which claims to offer a genuine free credit score. Any experience with them?
