Sub: Will Premier Debt Centers work for me?
Replied on 02-12-2008, 01:38 PM

I am 20,000 dollars in debt and searching for the best possible solution. I have contacted financial freedom and premier debt centers. It seems Premier Debt Center works on legally disputing the debt and therefore will not affect my credit as negatively as debt consolidation, bankruptcy, or debt negotiation through financial freedom. I have tried directly speaking to my creditors and have had no luck in getting any type of settlement myself. Is premier debt center a trusted company? What exactly will happen to my credit while everything is being disputed? Is this a failsafe and trusted method, or do I risk putting money into something that won't work (premier debt is asking for 12,000 over the next two years and saying that my 20,000 in debt will be contested and removed during that time. It seems that 12,000 interest free is a much better solution than trying to pay down the 20,000 myself while accruing interest. Thanks ahead of time for all your help and suggestions.
Nate

Please be aware that this program does not protect you from law suits. From what I have read Premier does offer legal assistance in that case but I would check it out to be sure. I could find nothing negative about the company. It does sound like a debt settlement company which can have a long term negative effect on you credit. I would verify that also.

Sounds like a debt settlement company to me, if you want to settle the accounts yourself, you have to stop paying on them. That's the only way the CC companies will work with you, and you have to stop paying for 3 -4 months, and then you will start getting settlement offers. There is always a chance of being sued but that is the same using any of these companies. If your not having luck with settling, it's most likely because you are current on your cc bills thus they have no reason to work with you on a settlement.
