I have a little less than 10,000 in credit card and private loan debt that I'm trying to get a handle on because I was out of work for awhile and I had a fraud on my bank account. Please call after 6pm pacific time if possible. Thank You

Are you back at work now? It will be easier for you to keep up with the plan.

Sit with the consultant and figure out how much you will be able to afford in your payments. There are different options keeping your financial situation in mind. If you can manage a consolidation plan, it will look good on your credit after all the debts are paid in full. In case you want a lower plan, debt settlement will be the next option. It will stay on your report for seven years and each creditor will view it differently since you didn’t pay the full balance. You may ask your settlement company to negotiate with the creditors for a fair reporting.
