|
|
I am working hard at preparing my materials and have a few questions for everyone:
1) Should I fax/email the first copies and then mail? And should I send a copy of this letter to my bank even if I am freezing the account.
2) Has anyone actually received a refund from any of the following companies:
I have overpaid all of these
1. CMG/OSL Marketing 610.00 overpaid
2. Loanshop online 185.00 overpaid
3. payday2go.com 170.00 overpaid
4. netcashusa.com 30.00 overpaid
5. cash2day 200.00 overpaid

Yeah, filing complaints helps add some muscle . . .
If you want to fax/email the letters first go for it, but also be sure to mail them certified mail, so that you have proof they recieved them.

I got refunds from XpressCash, PaydayOK, ameriloan, TenDollarPayDay. Total refunds was over $2,000. But that was way over a year ago.

You are right! I complained complained complained and complained again, I went on a one man war and wasn't going to be told no. I lost thousands and got what I deserved back in my refunds. Lesson learned, never to make the mistake again.

TweedleDee,
I also got refunds from various lenders. The complaints do help but it is also good to bug the crap out of the lenders.

Hey you are right, you have to annoy them the way they annoyed you. Hey, cool name, are we distant cousins?

To be quiet honest, I found the more harassing a lender got, the more I could get them by the hair. The more illegal threats they made, the more that I could push them to the wall to cave. It's the one's who are the most harassing that are the most scared. Trust me, I used to work in business to business collections and I knew some real low lifes! LOL! I don't know about the distant cousins part but great minds do think alike!!

It seemed to me that the more hostile they got with me, the more fired up I got, and I did not take any crap from them. You want to call and threaten me, you better be able to take it right back in your ear!

Absolutely, there is no reason to threaten anyone. The only point is proves is that you are a complete moron. I don't think I could live with myself if I treated people like that.

Wish I'd thought of this when I got my refunds. Should've got a disposable camera had my picture taken cashing the check, then another picture of me with the money in hand, and then a few more of me spending the money! Then send the pictures certified mail with a return receipt!

If you make hints that the bahavior of the companies have been thoroughly documented and recorded, even if you haven't, it creates great leverage to 'negotiate'. One time I actually stated, "My state does not require me reveal this, but this conversation has been recorded for legal purposes; is there anything that you would like to add in your defense to why your illegal tactics were utilized while----'click' "Hello, Mr. collector? Hello?"
It works everytime, and the calls never resume.

That is really good Anthony! I know my state allows a person to record a call without the other party's consent.

Once I sent complaints in to the Attorney General I never had to do anything else. They handled all of them. They are still suing here and I guess it will just continue as long as there are Predators like payday loan companies. KYSIDE38
