i recieved maintance for my 4 children from their dad.i claime income support.should the benefit service know i recive money from my ex partener

As far as I know you're suppose to report all income, but that isn't written in stone, perhaps someone else can elaborate on this, for you.

You have to report all income received especially if you are seeking public assistance.

"Maintaince?" What can of income? I'm a single mom. I deal with the Assistance Office, in my area. yes...you DO need to report ALL income. If you don't, the County/State can consider this Fraud/Failure to report.
