Yes, they will get nasty. Do a search for the company names you are dealing with on this site and you will get an idea of what to expect.
Just keep at them. If you have the laws on your side you will eventually prevail . . . .

DO NOT LET THEM INTIMIDATE YOU! They are full of crap with their idle threats!

It's not going to be fun, that's for sure. But know this before it starts: they can not send someone to arrest you at home or at work. So if they say this (and they probably will), bear in mind that this is false. Now alot is going to depend on whether your PDL's are internet or storefront. If they are storefront, chances are that they are licensed in your state (but always check this out) and are following state law. In this case, they should always be paid before a IPDL, since they could take you to civil court.
If they are an IPDL, still check out whether they are licensed (and chances are they are not) and always pay them after a storefront.

What IPDL's do you have? I would also do a google search here for them and you can find out how sticky it's going to be.

OK, I do know about two of them on your list. Northway Debit is related to Sonic, which relies on the voluntary wage garnishment form, which you sign allowing them to take money from your paycheck should you default. I can only assume that you signed one for Northway. If you did, you need to cancel it immediately in writing with your payroll dept. Fax it to them, wait for the confirmation and then call them to confirm that they got it and document the name of the person who told you that they did, with his/her extension.
I am personally dealing with Geneva-Roth Ventures. I can tell you that they are probably not licensed in PA and are going to tell you anything to get you to pay. Determine what you really owe and propose a payment arrangement that you can live with. If you don't owe anything demand that your account be marked Paid in Full, or file with Penn's State AG. Good luck.
