I made the mistake of paying some school loans with credit cards. I have 4 credit cards with 3 that have balances. I am trying to get out of debt. I am poor with budgeting. I find it very frustrating.I have anout 9 700 of debt I want to get rid of, but interests are killing me.

Welcome to the Forums  Have you tried to get the credit card companies to lower your interest,or drop it while you get caught up? I called a dozen times, spoke to several different people until I got someone to drop the interest, if I would commit to a payment plan, until I got the balance lowered. Since you registered, someone will contact you about other options, such as consolidation, where you can put all your unsecured debt ito one monthly payment, with lower interest. Read others post about how they have dealt with their debt also. Good Luck-keep us posted..Karen

I was lucky enough w/ my student loans to get a deferrment!
Like Bossy said, you can always call your card companies and try to get the interest rate lowered, and have them stop charging you over the limit fees (if they are).
All they want is their money, so if you can commit to any plan, they will be happy to work with you.
