Most debt consolidation programs are designed for unsecured debts like credit card debt, personal loans etc.
However, you can consider debt consolidation loan to pay your bills. Actually a counselor can suggest you the best solution after thoroughly examining your credit history, financial condition and all.
One more thing I would like to mention here: payments towards your mortgage loan play vital role in the credit scoring model. So try to pay them by yourself. You can always consolidate the other debts that you have and use the saved money to pay your mortgage. That can be useful. Talk to the counselors, they can help you with better suggestions!
