|
|
I just received an email from cashthis.net dba Instant Cash Flow 24/7 and they are willing to settle my pdl for the principle amount only. The guy even said it is okay to MAIL the payments in. I was just waiting for him to say he needed to debit my account for the payments. When I replied back to his first email, I threw a copy of Ohio laws in it stating that no rollovers were allowed, and then he quickly replied back.

Good for you!! That's really something, these places usually DEMAND automatic debits or western union.

I don't have time, I am running back and forth. Go close and open a new account. That is the first step, they will start to threaten that as soon as they are denied access to your account for payment. You need to e-mail, fax, and mail them a letter revoking your voluntary wage assignment and provide your payroll dept. with a copy.

Yes, there are people here who have had 19 internet pdls and sent a letter to each one individually and were able to settle their accounts. You must also file a complaint with your AGs office. Along with the wage assignment revokation letter, you also should go to Polly's blog and use her internet pdl settlement template letter, inserting your state's pdl laws and informing them of your complaint with the AGs office. It is simple to complete, you just insert all your information as it pertains to each pdl.

Your state doesn't allow roll overs either. You need to figure out how many times the roll over was paid and deduct that from the allowable interest rate and the principal and if you have paid well over this then you demand they mark your account paid in full. Just get that wage assignment revokation letter together and make sure you give it to your payroll dept. as well. This will be over before you know it. I understand your fear and frustration, we have all been there.

Brownsugar, that is wonderful news! It's great that they are letting you send payments in.
Laverne, I know how you feel - I felt the same way, afraid and relieved all at the same time! But once you send your letters in and start getting their replies, telling you they're marking your account "paid in full," you'll be SO relieved, it's unbelievable! I would close my old account and send those letters off as soon as possible as well as revoking any wage assignments. Good luck!

Laverne--
I had said that I included the Ohio laws in with the email I sent to one of my payday lenders. Not write the Ohio laws.
