You poor folks that have accounts left to settle, you better stay busy with that. Doors have been made open to collect on you now if he actually did part of his job right. Think about getting on a credible program.

Any ideas on what programs are credible? I'm so deep in hole now after what James did I don't know what to do and I can't file bankruptcy because of my job. Any suggestions?

Above post suggested that ex-james lombardo clients find a credible program....... I don't believe there is such an animal. Starting to think they are all crooks. I have seen several clients recently resolve their own problems by negotiating their own settlements without any hefty fees being charged. At least they know what is going on each day and aren't leaving it in the hands of a company that only cares about their big buck fees.

I hear you and I agree to a certain extent. The problem is two of my accounts are suing me and I know enough to make me dangerous and feel I need a professional. Is there an organization that maybe I could call and get a reputable company? The others I feel I can do myself. I may not get as low settlements but at least I know where my money is going.

Find a young or old attorney close by that has some experience with CA's and their tactics and have them pitch in. It will expedite the process for you, relieve you of much of the stress and probably be a whole lot cheaper than the fees most of the debt settlement companies charge. You need some legal advice and most of these companies won't be able to provide you with legal advice......just speculation that could end up putting you into more problems.

I am not sure what happened to that bussiness are the people who trusted them to help. It is just that I was here when I first heard of Sifxpert and I almost went with them myself because I read nothing but good about that bussiness and I needed their help. Wow, how things can change in a years time. I do hope all come out ok with this.

Apparently the guy ran off with a bunch of money Luke. It is a shame because a lot of people gave him money to settle accounts and he said they were settled but never sent the money. Instead, he kept the money at least according to other posters.
I agree with you Rickey. I have always been an advocate of DYI when it comes to debt settlement. I don't think the companies out there do a good job especially considering the amount of money they charge. I think that money would be better spent in settling your debts for a little more or spending it on a decent attorney if one of your creditors sues you. I certainly would not give a company direct access to my funds or power of attorney. They can just as easily do the settlment for you and then you make the payment. That is how an attorney would handle it.
