I'm sure I'll be sweating with you guys on down the road, because T&C and I are still fighting it out with Sonic, and I have a feeling my account will be turned over to collections soon.

So where does the phone number in Dublin, OH? come from then? Interesting street name, Seattle Slew Dr., wasn't that a race horse?

I think it might have been. I'm not sure where the number they gave you came from, but interestingly enough, the Ohio BBB is located in Dublin and has a 614 area code.

That last repy was mine. I can never tell for sure when I'm logged in here! Anyway, it will be interesting to see what info I get when I send them a validation letter.

They maybe in Dublin calling on a VOIP line which will display a US phone number where the call entered the US, in this case most likely in Ohio. Amex does this and their calls register out of Georgia. Dell Financial Services also does this and their call come through Houston. In both cases they are actually calling from India.

They haven't actually called me Clay. I would just like to know where Sonic and Universal Fidelity are and what their relationship is. I don't think much having to do with Sonic is on the up and up, if you know what I mean.

Sue, Sonic and Cash Transfers Centers are one and the same, and I found a thread that explains that they operate out of Canada. They, like Universal, have multiple DBAs and P.O. box addresses and street addresses, so I'm going through the Texas OCCC's public records to see if I can find anything that links the two, and then I'm going to start comparing addresses to see if any of them overlap. I haven't read yet anywhere else in the forums where Universal is linked to another PDL company, so we shall see.

Hey thanks, I haven't done much since we talked yesterday about this. I'm going to send me DV letter off today and then we'll see what happens. It all smells really fishy to me. Let me know what you find.

I'm sending it to the PO box in Houston. I actually didn't get it sent today but I will tomorrow.

Did you find anything else?

Default got a similer letter from universal fidelity lp!!!

Hi all today i recieved what looks to be an official letter from "universal fidelity lp" although it seemed really fishy to me from the start. it is telling me it wants to collect from a magazine i've never recieved,(can you be sent to collections from a magazine anyway???) The address is the same that one of you had mentioned po box 941911, houston texas, however the number is different. When i reverse listed the number it is not listed. I am not that i know of, nor have i been in collections before so i was wondering if any of you have figured anything else about this company? also wheni looked up "universal fidelity lp" in houston yellow pages there isn't one, only "universal fidelity corporation" i'm not sure if you can be sent to collections for a magazine club, because they would never have had your social or anything, so thats what threw up a red flag for me. any help would be greatly appreciated and i'll try my best to research some more too, best of luck to all of you.
