I am a creditor, and for those of you who are planning on using Square One, be aware they put us on HOLD for an extremely long time, and while you think that may be a good thing ... I'd rather sue you than wait. I've started litigation against all my debtors who use Square One. It works out for us though, we still get paid, .. 25% of your paycheck (depending on the state), which generally is A TON more than you were offering in the first place.

Sorry, I posted the last one too ... FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO FEEL YOU NEED A DEBT CONSOLIDATION AGENCY TO HELP YOU ... YOU ARE WRONG. THEY WILL NOT GET ANY FARTHER WITH ME THAN YOU WOULD. YOU COULD SAVE YOURSELF SOME MONEY AND DO IT YOURSELF. I WILL GIVE YOU THE SAME TERM AND CONDITIONS I WILL GIVE A CCCS COMPANY. JUST BE AWARE, YOU ARE PAYING SOMEONE FOR SOMETHING YOU COULD BE DOING ON YOUR OWN FOR FREE.

I am considering signing up with Credit and Debt Management of America. They have one in Dallas where I live. Do any of you know anything about this company. I noticed they have an F rating with the BBB, but it seems like all of them do.

Square One is a scam....I worked there also. They provide services the consumer can do on their own and save the 15% charge based on their debt.

They primarily feed off the elderly and others that are better off filing bankruptcy.

If you read the positive comments made about SQ1 you will notice a pattern of the same phrases. These were written by the owner David Prince and his overly skinny wife.

1) BBB are not unbiased. The BBB in Florida is owned by a man who, owns Consumer Credit Consolidation in Florida. SQ1 keeps their rating by threatening to expose him each complaint they get.

2) The owner David Prince maybe a coke head but he IS a disbarred attorney.

3) SQ1 will refund every cent you have paid them if you file an attorney general complaint and fax a copy.

Seriously save your money. Call the bank yourself. They will work with you.

Square One Debt Settlment let me get sued by 5 of the companies I owed money to. I faxed them all of my paperwork, they told me for months and months that they were working on my debt but they didn't do a single thing for a year!

They are the most crooked company out there... stay away! Don't end up like me!

The prior negative posts are made by a disgruntled employee. If you notice they all start in August, until then the company has not had any negative comments. Then mysteriously they all start within days. If they were that bad, they would have complaints going back years.

I work for Mr. Prince, and I can tell you he cares about the customers, more then any other boss I have had. If you have any questions or concerns, you should call him directly at the company and ask.

You can check out David Prince, and see that he is an attorney in good standing with the Florida, Colorado and Washington D.C. Bars. Check out this link, I don't expect you to believe me, but you can go to the Bar Association in each of the states, and check his history. He has never had any disciplinary issues. Check for yourself before you believe the prior posts. http://www.floridabar.org/names.nsf/0/992B46722ECFF3D685256A830012B28C?OpenDocument

Additionally, he is the Board Secretary of TASC, www.tascsite.org and also used to work for the Consumer Federation of America.

As far as settlements, all creditors tell you they don't work with Square One, but check out their website, as they have a small cross section of settlements posted. So you can see they all do settle with us. Remember the creditors get paid commission based upon how much they can scare you into sending in.

I am a CREDITOR that presently attempts to work with Square One, .. and I am always on HOLD for extended periods of time trying to talk to Jose and Omar .. both of which put me on hold or never called me back. Again, I have sued my customers that are working with square one because it's not my job to wait. And Jose and Omar think it is my job to wait. So I have sued my customers. Thank you Square One for giving me no other choice since you couldn't return a simple call This isn't disgruntle employees talking this is people who know what the company is really about.

I am very leary about Square One Debt Settlement LLC. When I first spoke with JamieMcKay, he assured me that I would need to set aside $386.00 per month for a $25,000 debt for three years and I would be debt free. This just does not add up. I also was told that I would not send any money until they asked for it. Well, this was a lie. I am going to bail out.

I was going to use Square One, have not committed, however, am going to bail out.
They have a great story, but most of what they say are lies.
