I lost my job and took months and months to find another one and now i am so far behind i dont know where to start to repair credit.

First thing you may need to do is contact your creditors and explain to them what happened and see if they will work with you. Also if you signed up for the free debt consultation, someone will get in touch with you and talk to you about your options. But do call your creditors and let them know what has been going on. They may be able to work with you to help you get caught up until you can get something else worked out.

Talk to your creditors and propose your payment plans. You can take a free quote from the counselor that is referred in your area. Then, you can decide whether want to get enrolled with them or perhaps, you want to work with the creditors by yourself. Get some tips from the DIY section in this site. It has sample letters on how to negotiate with the creditors.
