I have recently went through a divorce, bought a house and a car along with piling up debt amounting over $13000. I filed bankruptcy 6 years ago and vowed I would never get into this mess again, but here I am. I left my husband with the clothes in my closet and that is where most of the debt has come from. I am struggling and sometimes have to rob Peter to pay Paul. What can I do with this surmountable credit card debt, not to mention the money I owe the lawyer? I need serious help!

mcfaddenlisa, have you called the debtcc phone number? You can get a free consultation from a financial coach. You can tell them of your debts and they can point you in the right direction for your specific situation. The phone number is 1-800-601-1579. Give them a call, and I'm sure they can help!

I agree-call for a free consult. Its so overwhelming when you look at the big picture, but the counselors will help you through it!
Also, have you contacted your creditors? Explain you left your husband & all you own-so you created this debt while getting back on your feet while going through a divorce. Maybe they could lower interest rates or make a payment plan for you or maybe you could qualify for a hardship program some creditors offer when you are in need.
Let us know how you are doing & if you need help we are here!!
