Hi all: This is an update to Tremont Financial trying to perform a wage garnishment with my company and threatening me with a court case to be filed in their state - not OK. Don't they have to file a judgement in my state so I can at least attend the hearing and defend myself? I filed a complaint with the OK Dept. of Consumers Credit and the examiner is sending them a letter to decease all contact with me, as well as, my company and eliminate the account that I have with them. We will see how this pans out. I do not know how much pull this OKFDCC has but it will be interesting to see how they respond to his letter. I have also filed a complaint with the OK AG as well. Thanks, again, for your help.

rmalcolm -

It sounds like you are well on your way to a solution with this company - congratulations! It seems the OKFDCC is taking the proper steps to get it taken care of for you.

Keep us posted on the outcome!

I most certainly will - I want to help as many people as possible that are in the same position or about to be in the same position as myself.

Make your payroll aware of this issue. Tremont Financial will try to do a debit. Your payroll should be informed so that they don't allow this thing to happen. If anything happens, file a legal case against the company on charges of false representation of your account.

I informed my payroll department about the letter, which the OKFDCC is sending a carbon copy to. Please explain what account they will try to debit, the bank account that this IPDL has on file is closed. I spoke with my new bank and she stated that they will definitely refund my money should this or any other IPDL debit my account. I will research and prepare to file a legal case should any further action occur on their part. Thank you so much for your help, I could not have done it without this forum.

It looks like you have already covered your base. Your payroll is also aware of this issue. No need to worry more. I am hoping that everything will get fixed since you have involved OK AG in this matter. Good luck
