Chan I think HOF misunderstood your question. To dispute a debt, ask the creditor for PROOF of the debt. If they cannot provide proof, which they can't if its not you, it will have to be removed. Keep in mind, that the original creditor may of sold your debt to someone else. ASK FOR A SIGNED AGREEMENT, BY YOU.

No I didnt misunderstand. A lot of people mistake this site for their creditors site. They need to contact the correct party directly.

Soap, why would someone mistake a forum for a creditors website? Let's say NCO for example. I'm knew here, but this doesn't look anything like a creditor, or collection site. How would they be directed here with that notion? Links?

refime, SOAPLADY is right. I read this forum everyday and people are always posting questions and personal information as if this is a debt collector. If you continue to participate in the site, you will see that SOAPLADY is right on most all of the time.
