I too received a call from an extremely rude man,giving an 800 number. When I called back I was told I owe an amount of $99 from a book club. I just hung up on them. I do not owe any monies at all. I must say, I am a little nervous as to how they got my name, etc. Should I alert anyone?

Is it Pakhar or Takhar Group? Ask them to send you a collection letter, stating that you won't pay without that. If they send you that, send them a debt validation letter.
recieved same call on several occasions, i just ignored it.

It's better you ignore their calls. May be, they will get bored and stop calling you. But if they threaten you over the phone, you must file police complaint against them.
I got a call yesterday to call these ppl that I have never heard of or look up there website but cant find it. What should I do???
