Yeah that bothers me too because sometimes HR doesn't know any better either....I work for a major university and they almost gave my paycheck to Payday Avenue for a voluntary wage assignment!!!

They probably get overwhelmed with paper in that department and don't even think. And imagine all of the documents they lose, shiver...

Tell me about it! I needed a copy of a paycheck stub and requested it like 3 weeks ago and never received it....I had left a message with the hr admin asst.....well I emailed the payroll clerk Monday and she said she never heard anything about me needing it!! She said, it only takes a day or so....and I got it today. Had I not followed up, I would have never gotten it.....so I know now that I don't even trust HR.

You guys need to go to a system where you can see your paychecks online. It's GREAT!! Plus, we know two days before payday what we're getting!

I know, I wish that my company did that. This old university is not that advanced!!! They do at least give us our paycheck stubs a day ahead of time. I just happened to need one from November and that was the ONLY one I couldn't find!!!

We are able to see our paystubs online the Monday before payday. And thank God we can, I stopped my direct deposit two weeks ago and when I viewed mine THEY NEVER STOPPED IT! I was able to get them to correct that error, but if I wasn't able to view my paystub before payday I would not have been a happy camper.

Oh my gosh! I am so glad that you got it fixed...yet another story for the hr saga....that would have been really bad if you couldn't have seen your stub!! By the time we get our stubs it is way too late to correct anything. I am learning more and more not to trust ANYONE when it comes to my money, paycheck, etc.....

Default Why not simply call and make payment arrangements?

I think you are cross referencing 2 different companies. Tremont Financial is not the same as Loan Point USA. I had a loan and they were fairly easy to work with, as long as i made the payments I promised. They didn't add any additional fees and even knocked off the original NSF fee. The number I had for them is 888-357-9106. I bet they'll work out arrangements.

Well i had told Tremont that i would be requesting a phone interview with the judge instead of showing up in person, I just recieved a call from Tremont that they would like to settle for $280 now what i dont understand is why they want to settle for 1/2 ????? I am thinking of going ahead with the suit and see if it isnt thrown out by the judge.

Cuz they dont really want to go to court...that opens them up for an investigation into their financial affairs

something is really weird here, i just wonder if they are trying to get me to pay and then still go to court? i am going to have to get it in writing and have them drop the suit before i pay anything.

I called Tremont back and they have no problem putting it in writing so iguess i will wait for them to mail it to me then pay the money i owe and not some outragious amount. I dont understand why they didnt do this in the begining i offered to pay $280.00

Good Grief! What a story! I had not been back here since page 2. All this seems to be one very well planned scare tactic. When you did not crawl back to them to avoid court they said Uh oh, this is going to cost us more in time than we can collect. I say if you have the 280. pay it after you get the release in writing from them and move on.
