Heck with the BBB anyway, they really can't DO anything.
United is a pain to deal with. Keep on them, and you will win. |

I think it is good to at least to have the complaint on file with the BBB. They really can't do much because they are only a mediator so to speak. If your state has a divsion of financial institutions that is the place to go next or the consumer protection office.

Ashley I dont know how TN is but the WV Attorney Generals office is great. They want the complaints. They are getting back thousands of dollars in refunds for consumers. I stand behind the AG. Kyside38

I don't know if anyone saw this as it was on my blog site. The BBB of Nevada was a tremendous help as they got my account closed with UCL. Like I said before it probably matters whose inbox your complaint lands in. Luck of the draw

I know my AG's office was of GREAT help to me. They acted by the next morning on my ipdl complaints and had helped me settle 2 as PIF before the days end. They also forwarded my complaints on to the Division of Financial Institutions who over see this industry and regulate them.

I know Polly is a firm believer in reporting to the AG here in Michigan.
Wow..If it wasn't for Polly, so many of us would still be in PDL hell. No one has ever written a better refund letter..She knows her stuff. __________________

And I know a few people who have gotten into trouble with some letters written especially for them. I know because I had spent almost the entire night assisting one of those people out of the trouble they got them into.

I would have to say that the two members on this site who I would definately say know the laws and their stuff are Polly and Kyside. The work they have done is outstanding.

by the way guest..more than likely someone re-formatted Polly's letter for you. We always send people who need help here to Polly's blog..She's got the best info around, and knows PDL laws in all states better than anyone. She is brilliant.

You are right Fins. I read this person's letter, and it looked reformatted but it also read like an extortion letter which that is the part which was getting this person into potential legal trouble.
