We're glad you were able to obtain help and advice here! Congrats on the ones you were able to get marked paid in full! Rt. 66 is difficult to work with, but if they stop contacting you and are not debiting your account (since you closed it), count yourself lucky. Their normal practice is to hound you until you pay. If they are not contacting you, and you have overpaid them, chances are good that they will not contact you any further. Have you sent them a letter demanding to be marked paid in full? __________________

I sent all 5 letters on November 30th revoking ACH debiting and laid out amount that had been debited from my account. 3 immediately sent back that account would be marked PIF. Route 66 called me one time and I told them I would not pay anymore. That is last I have heard from them. I did tell them I was filing complaint with AG. I wrote all again asking for refunds, 3 said they would not refund. USFast Cash sent letter stating I still owed them. I overpaid them the most ($645) and said if I filed a complaint they would do likewise. I haven't heard anything from them since first of Dec. I guess I should be glad for PIF and no harassment, but I SURE WOULD like to recoup some of those payments. Thanks again for everyone's help. The advice from the people on this site has got me where I am now and I really appreciate it.

I would love to see USFast Cash file a complaint against you with the AG's office. LOL. They might want to explain why they did business with a consumer of your state without a license. That would be a good complaint to read. LOL

Steelers I wouldnt be suprised. Some of the payday companies are actually trying this turning around and suing the state. Quick Payday is suing the state of Kansas. Its going to be interesting to see what happens in that case. WV is awaiting the verdict. KYSIDE38

I just dont think they will get far suing the states. Especially if dealing with PDLs is specifically laid out in the law. OK law covered our stuff by specificallly referring to IPDL's and would assume they did that to cover themselves. You have a link to the Kansas case?

Boy, the guys that own these PDL's must clank when they walk. Imagine having the you-know-what's of steel to think they can get away with suing the state where they were lending illegally to begin with. I guess we must be putting a hurting on them!

How would US Fast Cash file a complaint against you? You are an individual, not a business. It sounds like they are blowing smoke because they know they have done wrong. I have filed complaints against US Fast Cash myself and it's funny how they have replied. They have downright lied in responses to the BBB. I have other complaints to file against them. Keep pestering them as I am sure they are not licensed to loan money in your home state. I think it's funny that the payday lenders even have the nerve to sue the state. On what grounds is what I would want to know! I'm not sure about the laws in Kansas but here they have to be licensed. It sounds like they are trying to fight a losing battle. I would love to be a fly on the wall in that court hearing though.

I filed complaints with Tn AG and DOF and both responded that they could not do anything. I would have to pursue it in civil court.
Guest--who did you file with against US Fast Cash? What results did you have? I sent them one more email in response to their last comment that showed amounts they debited and that I expect a refund. I did not tell them I have filed complaints especially since it did no good. I have not heard anything further from them. But they would not marked PIF or give me refund. I have overpaid them over $700. Any help with them would be appreciated!!!!!! |
