United cash loans response to the BBB

PostPosted: Wed Dec 20, 2006 3:19 pm Subject: United cash loans response to the BBB

I filed a complaint with the better business bureau and here is the response that I received from them I originally borrowed 250.00 and so far have paid 560.00 and they wont mark my account paid in full or give refund read on...

this is there response from the BBB

Quote:
Ms. ***** came to our website and applied. All of the terms and conditions were available from the moment of application, she was also asked a question whether she understood the terms during the process, she had to answer "yes" for us to even get the application. She was also given 48 hours in which to cancel the agreement and return the funds without incurring any fee. Lastly, before each debit, she was sent an account summary, which gave him all of the options for repayment, as well as the terms and conditions once more. This customer has made these same demands to other companies she has loans with, per our fraud investigation company. She is using a cut and paste template being circulated on the Internet, dealing with issues that do not relate to her contract.
We still cannot see in this letter to the BBB a valid complaint relating to the handling of her account
We do wish to assist Ms. *****, but she must pay a reduced balance of $95.00, which is the last debit she owes us. This must be paid by 12/30/06 via Moneygram, instructions below:
Pay To: United Cash
Receive Code: 4309
City/State: Miami, OK
Account: COMPLIANCE/346285

If this reduced balance is not met, we will put the account back into collections for the full amount now due, per the contract he signed. If not paid, the account will be sold to a 3rd party for further action, and could be reported to one or more credit bureaus.

Respectfully,

Compliance Department

Call the company. You should ask for an itemized statement with all the previous payments on it. It is necessary for you to know how they are calculating your account and showing an outstanding balance, even after paying $560 on a $250 loan. You may need your state laws in this regard.

I also filed against them and received a similar response but mine included them calling me a fraud. So now we keep going back and forth with responses through the BBB because I keep rejecting their responses. Please also file a complaint with them with the Oklahoma Dept of Consumer Credit.

Tell them to bite you. If you have paid that much dont give them another dime. Are they licensed in your state? Probably not. Reject it and demand they pay you. Kyside38

Carson Ave, Suite 3200Tulsa, OK 74119 Fax # 918-492-1276Online Complaint # 38007157-Valarie Ms. Conyers,We stand by our previous response, Ms. was given all the terms and conditions, and had every option of paying the loan in full without additional fees, paying partial principal, and canceling the loan within 48 hours. We have researched her account and we have found no evidence of mishandling on our part. Ms. again is using information from the Internet that is misleading and incorrect. We offered to reduce her balance in an effort to assist her, but without a legitimate complaint in regards to her account, we are not obligated, nor will we bow to pressure from a growing number of customers to "write off" their balances, because they make threats, and make complaint of no merit to outside agencies, because of advice given on Internet websites. We are truly committed to a high level of customer service, and we will help any customer with an actual complaint in regards to the handling of their respective account. We do not believe this complaint qualifies as such a complaint. v_padgett, have you filed with your state AG? I did and finally heard something yesterday from the Commission of Financial Regulation (Maryland). She told me that as long as I have paid the principle that I do not need to give them anything else because they are illegally lending in MD. She told me that she has previously sent this company a letter to cease and desist there actions. They are also keeping a list of all the complaints for this company and that if they keep demanding money to have them call her directly. She also stated that if they keep demanding to report them to the FTC @ 877-382-4357. PM me if you need more info. Good luck!

Tenn. attorney general office responded that they did not handled civil matters. They offered no help whatsoever to my complaint and to overpayments made to IPDLs. I am very disapponted with this response. I thought they were serious about bringing this type business down, but evidently not. I did file complaints online with Consumer relations department of state. But I have had no response from them either.

Ashley2006 I would love to see your response through the BBB because I really wasn't getting anywhere with them.

Guest, try doing a follow-up call/email to check the status.

Atm/guest- That is unfortunate and rather wierd. Maybe someone on here from TN can be of furter assitance. Hopefully the consumer relations dept in TN will offer some assistance. Are PDLs illegal in TN?

it looks to me like you may have complained to the wrong parties. Have you tried the info listed above? Sounds like maybe the Attorney General in TN is not responsible for payday lender regulation, but the Department of Financial Institutions is. I would take that route next, and include all the documentation that you have.

Oh that is ridiculous which is why I wish that they would cut these guys out all together. But I wouldn't stop hounding them until you get your account paid in full. So what if you applied for the loan and participated in their repayment program. If they would stop that repayment program where you would only pay interest or if pay down with the interest. They were eating away at your finances.

You cannot allow them to do this to you. But I am glad that you wrote your post because even though I have them in debt consolidation, I need to know what I am left owing on my account.
