You are wrong. I used to work for Acu-Shield. They do hold client's money. Not new enrollees, but those who were previously enrolled by Debtco, Best Debt, First Choice, and some Fresh Start CA.

This company is under investigation and will soon be shut down. I bounced out as soon as I ran into a previous employee of the company who was speaking with the Attorney Generals office.

Acushield is Debtco. Acushield is the servicing center for Unified. Acushield is the company who employs the negotiators and physically negotiates the debt.
Unified enrolls new clients
Acushield collects money from clients (monthly fee, service fee, etc.)
Acushield pays Unified based on contract terms
Acushield handles customer service and negotiations.

I started With Acushield in february. I'm getting summoned to court already. I can't get anyone to call me back from Acushield. At this point, what is Acushield supposed to be doing for me? I just checked and they have a unsatisfactory record at the BBB. I guess I'm going to have to deal with the credit card company myself. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

The company in it self Unified Financial Solutions is a joke from the owner to the Managers.These guys walk around like they think there mafia big shots which most of them yes need to be slapped. When all there money comes from scamming peoples hard earned money insted of earning there own money with education.
