I started the process with NY Attorney General and they told me also to report my PDL activity with the US Secret Service. They are closed for the weekend but the operator told me to call back Monday morning.

THIS IS AWESOME! I think I will go and file complaints, even though my accounts were settled awhile ago and I had help from my attorney general's office. I definately will be filing complaints with them!!!!

Let's keep this thread up to the top so others will see this and file complaints also with the Secret Service.

Elliot Spitzer, the NY AG, really hates payday loans, so they should, if nothing else, be able to really apply some pressure to the companies you're dealing with. Girl, you are due some serious refunds, and I really hope you get them!
From one alone you should get back like $6,500.

I know that the Secret Service is the branch of government agencies that deals with currency, so it would only make sense. And I think the FTC is getting more into the internet, so maybe they would be a good resource for those internet loans. Potential abuse of the internet "waves", or something. Just a thought. Have a good weekend, everyone! I'm outa here!

Great idea! I know the Secret Service is in the Dept of the Treasury, so it makes complete sense! Guess they do more than guard the president, lol...What about the FBI? That might be an option, since they deal with fraud across state lines???

Great idea! There is also ICE - part of Homeland Security - they investigate cyber crimes. I have been telling people to complain to them also. Aren't the ipdls committing cyber crimes? They are illegal in the states. Now I have a new place to complain!

Steelers,
Yes it is an awesome idea There was one I reported to the FBI but there is going to be another one. I also might report this one to the Secret Service as well. It could be a case of internet stalking after talking to a different forum friend.

The more agencies that get involved, the more chances that these places will be shut down.

kscornell,
I couldn't agree with you more. It's always nice to learn something new. I'm going to look into this over the next week or so for my state.

Mishele, I know what you mean. I really enjoyed seeing this thread and another government agency encouraging others to file complaints with the secret service. This should get interesting if enough people follow through with complaints!
