Hello Everyone,

I was browsing in the internet today & came across this website & while reading all the topics here, i think this is the best forum i can ask advice for our situation right now.

We owe a lot on our credit cards right now:
USAA - $ 11,700.00 - interest rate: 15.9 %
CITI - $ 9,500.00 - default rate 28.9 %
AMEX- $ 4,300.00 - interest rate 10.9 %
GE MONEY - & 1,800.00 - interes rate 21.9 %
MACY - $ 1,600.00 - interest rate 23.9 %
AMAZON - $ 400.00 - interest rate 21.9 %

My citi card was 6.4 % before but they recently raise my apr to 28.9% because i was only 1 day past on my due date. I forgot to pay before 5pm on that day of my due date & my credit card was just expired this month & its already closed. I try to call them to lower interest rate but they turn me down, I called USAA they would not either lower my APR. & amex company can only lower my interest to 10.9 %.

I know this is my fault that i used credit cards too much.
Its stressing me every night & day, i could not sleep, i hardly sleep. I am 6 months pregnant right now. I already had 2 miscarriages for the past 1 1/2 years. Im so stress with all this problem we are facing now. We are not late on our payments right now but i am afraid soon we are going to have a hard time mking this pyments with high interest.

Please help or any advice what we have to do?
Me & my husband total income right now is $ 4000.00

Thank you

I cannot solve your financial problems but my advice would be for first and the most if you are pregnet you should not be constantly thinking about money because thinking and stressing will mot solve it, this should be your husband responsability to take a lead on this. Health of your baby is more important.
saying so I do not know what you can afford to pay but I would do one of the following things:
- hardship program, talk to your creditors about this they usually can lower your interest to 0% - 3% for 6 months after 6 months they will review you accounts and possibly extend program
- if above does not work try debt consolidation, consolidating your debts will lower your monthly payment
- if you still cannot afford consolidated payment next option is to stop paying min payment on all cards and start savings for settlement
- you settlement won't work because you cannot save enough money for paying 20-40% off what you owe either by saving or borowing from 401k (if you have one) or family then the only option is BK

hope things work for you but definitelly you should not be dealing with this and stressing

good luck
