Really... All people have to do is pay their bills. Simple. They are following all Federal Laws given, it is not their fault that you cannot stay current. They also DON'T have to tell you where they are calling from and who they are representing, unless speaking to the account holder. It is not a scam, trust me I know!

"Does WFNNB accept settlement offers made by the cardholder? I have two accounts with them. "

Yes, we do. Depending on your tone of voice and the lateness of the account. A little courtesy when speaking with a collections agent will get your further then aggression. We're people too.

Pay your bill on time, check up on it every now and then online. (I do with my credit cards), CALL your creditors, TALK to them like they're people and you'd be amazed how far you'll get.

who cares if they are spoofing numbers? it's not hurting anything. if someone is calling you, tell them to cease calls. by law they can not call that number. if you have a credit card with them that you no longer pay and you are in debt, either go to the website of the store or actually go into the store and they can give you number or help you directly from the store. as for not sending you bills for over a year or so, if you go into bad debt other collection agencies try to collect for banks. so they don't own your account anymore, hence no bills. man, you're all stupid.

haven't gotten any phone calls from WFNNB (yet, as far as I know) but got a mailing from them today, just a simple Privacy Statement. Ordinarily wouldn't be a concern, but I don't have an account with that institution, and never have. The leaflet was addressed to me personally, and even had an account ID on it which had part of my name embedded in it. It just looks very suspicious to me. I suspect that scumbags like this are starting to phish by snail mail.

I called the number for Victoria's Secret and was asked by their automated system the same questions . I hung up after they asked for my social security number. Watch out!

these people are the biggest crooks, they stole 428.05 out of my checking account, and had the nerve to get greedy and demand 18.03 after I paid off the entire balance,
I'm unemployed and senior citizen, can ill afford to give these rip off artists $1.00 let alone 428.05

World Financial NNB is an under writer for credit cards and generic name of various other credit cards. Look in Yahoo Financial. If you are receiving calls from them, which I googled and followed a link here, for I did as well.
They do have to verify that they are a debt collection agent to you, they do have to send you information as to who they are and how you may contact them. They are also required to give you the ability to contest any allegations.

I received a letter from WFNNB. Their fraud department is investigating the previous owner of my condo. The letter says that WFNNB has "become aware of my name and address in conjunction with this case." They are threatening to contact the "agency of jurisdiction." What can they do to me? I'm not involved with the previous owners.

I am in the process of assisting my daughter with a suit because they put a negative item on her credit. She didnt apply for it but based upon their investigation they said she did. She was 17 at the time. I have advised them its fraud and shes a minor. They wont listen so I guess a lawsuit is the only option.

EMAIL REMOVED

I have been getting calls on my cell phone from these same area codes (410,303,614,blocked). I have been ignoring these numbers, but they actually left a message yesterday (for someone else) with a 1-800 call back number. I called back to tell them it, and actually talked to a rep who seemed reasonably nice. So hopefully the calls will stop, and this is not as "scammy" as some of the posts here indicate. (note; neither I nor anyone in my family has any debt). Also, after reading through the posts here, I called back all of the numbers I had been ignoring, and they were all valid World Financial numbers (no number spoofing).

I think someone needs to sue them - they opened my account without consent, they have been calling me about charges that they have elected to put on my account - like fraud protection (what a joke) they are the frauds and they have refused to close my account for months even thought I have told them repeatedly - Ohio isn't that far away..
