[QUOTE=Anonymous;725625]I work for the company and honestly, no one has any idea the stuff we take on the back end, it's not "ripping" you off with a 24.99% interest, you get the information BEFORE you sign up for the cards, if not ASK!, you don't HAVE to get a credit card, period. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE has been sent out a Change in Terms which not something WE controll it's a decision based on both parties, being WFNNB and the client, ie. Pottery Barn. Again, you don't HAVE to open a credit line. You bought the items, pay them off, or pay in cash to begin with... as far as taking payments they weren't okay'd by the account holder themselves should be addressed immediantly, you can always find out who did it and trust me, it's handled. every call is recorded, every call is checked. I know this, again, I work there. And with the whole 1$ fee, that's not something WFNNB did, thank the government and the Faircredit act that was passed in Febuary of 2010.
If you only knew... I take a lot of bs from people who are angry at the world for who knows what, and blames everyone for their money issues, if you listened, there are things we can and will do to help.. We are there for collections and we're some of the most hated people out there but it's a job and we have to do it.
Thanks =D[/QUO
Your just a plain scumbag if you work for a company like this.

After a six month study, the following questionable practices were uncovered. Posting of electronic payments from a customer's bank account to WFNNB can take up to 7 days after the payment has been deducted from the customer's bank account. During this time the credit limit on the customer is not increased therefore increasing the possibility of an "over-draft" situation. Customers are encouraged to make payments over the phone. The fee for this service is $10.

I received a notice from World Financial Network National Bank. Not recognizing this bank name I called the number on the notice which immediately prompted me to enter my Social Security number and Zip Code (BIG RED FLAG). I immediately looked the the web for more answer on this. Upon closer inspection of the notice is does mention an "Express Card" which I beleive is for the Express clothing stores that are typically found in shopping malls. I'll be cancelling my Express card immediately.

Is it normal practice to call and threaten someone with a stage 4 cancer, who makes less than $0/yearly... who is trying to fight the liver cancer to stay alive with several rounds of chemo to be a mother to her almost 8 year old son?
What is the normal practice of collections? I am a contact for my sister in law, my number is where she should be receiving calls.
I'm sorry but Mr. Simmons x4619 doesn't know what "hours vs weeks" mean to a cancer patient. He told me and rightly he should he can not talk w/me. I only asked him the phone number & his name to speak w/my brother... (it's only his wife's acct). He then asked me if she's got a lawyer.. I told him only if they can prove malpractice for her diagnosis... but he of course meant bankruptcy. I don't know what delinquency she is in currently because a foundation was going to be formed to assist them. My brother's income yearly is $25-28k, they reside in NYC area burroughs...

Tell me enlighten me on how there is NO compassion in collections. Instead of YELLING as he did to me... he should have gave a little compassion.

My brother called him back... the first thing he asked for was her ssn. ID THEFT... and googling wfnb looks pretty bad. There are other ways of getting an account pulled up... by verifying her name... you don't need the full ssn...

Laws for profanity (he just said he didn't care) but if profanity was used... youd better believe I'd be calling back.

There should be a holding period, and better training for these calls. I made calls... I worked payment plans... don't they know it's better to get a little vs nothing... she already knows her credit has been damaged by this illness... what else? A cancer/or any patient needs to have a special payment plan or unit to deal with them. If I had said she passed.. I know I'd have to produce the death certificate... but isnt stage 4 a death sentence?

I have been getting numerous calls from this company demanding payment. They say they represent Blair. I do not have an account with this bank or Blair, and have never had an account with them. They opened an account in my name without my knowledge or approval. They even sent me a Blair credit card which I have never used. They call me from various area codes (614, 913, 303, 415) as many as four times a day. I am writing their president, Edward Heffernan, World Financial Network Bank, 3100 Easton Square Place, Columbus, OH 43219 to stop calling me, and also the Federal Trade Commission, Bureau of Consumer Protection, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC 20580 or you can go to their website and submit a complaint on-line. They are then required to stop calling.

My 80 year old mother has been scammed by World Financial Bank on credit cards for Fashion Bug, Blair, and Dress Barn. They do not supply any information on terms, conditions, or interest rates until you get a bill then there is only the summary on the back. Try and get a copy of the credit card agreement from any of the websites to the companies above or World Financial Bank and you will not find it.
They want require everything by mail and when you call to follow up they cannot confirm receipt and offer to call back, never happens.
Warn everyone not to take our any credit cards connected to World Financial Bank. If you don't believe this try and find out some information about them, good luck.

I understand your comments, but you are missing the point. In your words, it is you that, for lack of a better word, are "stupid". I am getting calls constantly from World Financial Network National Bank. They are not live people. It is a recording asking me to dial a number. When I dial the number is asks for an account number. However, I don't have any accounts with them. Maybe they have the wrong number or someone else fraudulently gave my number. However, I have no way to get in touch with someone to correct their error or even ask about it. The calls have been coming for months at all hours of the day. I am pursuing legal action, but if you are involved in this company, you should be ashamed of yourself and you should correct these policies that are clearly not well though out. There are similar complaints all over the internet.

WFNNB is an absolute PAIN to deal with. I've been dealing with them since October to get one bill paid off. I just found out today, after several failed payment attempts and late charges, that the person I made the initial payment with over the phone (who barely spoke English, I might add) did not enter in my account information correctly. Thus, every payment I've tried to make failed because no one bothered to change the account information in the system. Yet, somehow, this is MY fault for not asking them to verify that my account information was changed the second time around when the CORRECT information was given to them. After the first failed payment, I was told to file a dispute - WHAT A JOKE. To file a dispute, it's all done through SNAIL MAIL, which is what took so long to resolve the issue (we'll see after today if the payment has actually gone through and the issue resolved). You can't speak to any supervisors, and the ones you can contact prefer correspondence via formal letters through snail mail. The way they do business in the year 2011 is absolutely asinine and archaic. They should be embarrassed.
