for you to settle debts without your spouse finding out about it?

If the debts are yours, and their name isn't on them, can you use a settlement company to help, without the spouse finding out?

Yes, it is possible to work out a settlement plan without letting your spouse know about it. Speak with a reputed debt consultant for your options. Once you register in this website, a counselor from your area will be referred for the free discussion.

I would not recommend hiding debt from your spouse. If it rears its ugly head down the road your spouse will stop trusting you because you were deceitful. I realize you may be trying to spare your spouse the pain you feel or are trying to avoid a confrontation but the damage of not being honest is lots worse than the bite the bullet honesty of being up front.

Frogpatch is right - It is just compounding the problem. Plus, in most states, even though the debt it in only one name, since you are married it is considered both of your debt.

It really is better to be honest now, then have to try to explain why you hid this for so long . . . . .

I understand totally where you're coming from here cuz i also hid this from my hubby! But both are right here, it IS better to be upfront about it! He listened, he forgave me and we've worked it out! The worst thing was the hurt he felt from me NOT telling him to begin with!
Good Luck to u but really try to think this thru and U be the judge of what's best for u!
