Ok everyone, lets put a lighter light on these King of Lies (a.k.a.- PDL's). Give me the worst threat given to you by a PDL to obtain a debt from YOU (don't let me about ones you've heard of, we all have those friends of friends of friends and we know how reliable those are!). This will also give everyone an understanding of what these fools will say just to get what they want. Moderators- feel free to come back and reply to these threats and explain how they are lying to the person. Lets see what we get!

I don't think that anyone is lying on here. They are just telling their experiences so others can beware and will know what to do in the future.

natdust-that wasn't what I was implying, sorry if I made it seem that way, I simply meant I wanted to hear what threats PDL's said to YOU. Sometimes when you put stuff like that out there people start saying what happened to their friend, or their friend of a friend, so on and so forth. Sorry this is supposed to be for fun, nothing more.

It's ok, sometimes when you are writing something you don't get as descriptive as you should because you know in your own head what you mean. So what was the worst threat you received?

I had one internet pdl collector start to tell me that I was going to be charged with fraud. I immediately laid into her and her lies. She quickly stammered back, "Oh, Oh, I didn't mean you I meant the others" Whatever, that witch was just busted on making an illegal threat.

Go get em' Steeler1!!!!!!! See I love to hear that stuff, these people are doing nothing but tormenting poor people, lying and scaring them just so they get a commission off these debts they collect. For those of you that don't know, YES the majority of them DO get a commission off of the delinquent loans they get closed. So with that in mind realize that they are going to tell you whatever to get paid!

Most people don't know that it is illegal, most people don't know their rights. Also, they don't know who to contact when they HAVE been done wrong, I am merely two weeks into this site, but I have read so many posts and so many replies that I educated myself really quickly on these PDL demons. I have seen first hand what they can do. I have also promised myself that once I close all my loans and get more experiance I will look into becoming a moderator here, I want to help out as many as I can so people don't have to go thru what I went thru. The problem is we can only help "after-the-fact". How do we help them beforehand. If you don't have good credit, getting a loan thru regular channels is almost impossible. So getting a payday loan is almost a necessity to a large majority of the nation. I have found a good site though called "Prosper". It's is kinda similar to this site but it is people loaning money to other people. You have to do a lot more work on your side, but you can obtain a loan with bad credit.

Yea, I totally agree with you. It would be great if ppl would find this site, before dealing with these creeps. They would not only save a lot of money, but also time and stress too. What type of site is the "Proposer"??

Prosper is a site were you post your request for a loan, banks, lenders, and regular people and place a bid and basically tons of people can fund your loan but you pay prosper once a month for your payment. It gives people a chance because you can actually explain why your credit is where it is. www.prosper.com check it out, its free

I think up to like $25,000 I believe, it may be more. Anyone can apply, the worse your credit is the more detail you will have to go into. Just check out the site, read up on it.

And natdust, above all, be careful of what is offered on any loan sites - we've all been there, in need of money and reached the point of desperation, where we'd just about sell our firstborn for the cash we need!

WORST PDL THREATS...

-"you know we can have the local authorities there in 10 minutes to arrest you for fraud..."

-"if you don't pay this today, we will report this to every major credit bureau, call your employer and tell them that you have defaulted on this loan, and we will call every one of the family/friends listed as references on your application and tell them you don't pay your bills.."

(and finally, my personal favorite...)

-"you Americans are just bums. I hope you lose the war."

(ok, technically, it wasn't a threat, but you have to admit, it's a CLASSIC)

this guy said i know you have another account so i said no
he kept insisting and then say if i find out you have another account, that i know you do, you'll pay me !,000 dollars I was laughing so hard at him he told me to hold on and put someonelse on the line.
