Well it looks like I meet the requirements for moderator status, so I need 5 people to support me by sending either Mike or Polly a PM for the request.
I'd really like to help moderate the dealing with collection agencies forum to help cut down on the spam and trolling.
If anyone would like to help me out on this I would greatly appreciate it.

J, no offense, but that is not how it works any longer. Mike puts out feelers and then he names who he thinks will be a good mod.

Actually, people can be nominated. Usually what happens is other MODs will tell Admin who they think would be good, and members can tell Admin who they think would be good, and Admin goes from there.
But you do usually need to be a debt sam first. There are some exceptions, but they are very rare.

JCEMT, I have got a lot of feedbacks about you and other community members. Many of them believe that can be a very good mod. Besides, your good intentions and care for this board proves everything. Just so that, I don't do anything that might hurt other people who haven't been a debt sam yet, I will make you a Debt Samaritan for some time and after that, you will be ready to take on as a moderator. I am going to announce the roles very soon. Thanks for your care and strong belief.
