if my loan is in default and they want to settle for $9100, but they want it in 10 days can i still consolidate, what are my options before they send it off to an attorney to garnish my wages

Is this a federal loan? If so they do not need an attorney or court order to garnish your wages.

If it is a private loan, you wont qualify to consolidate due to the default.
