Student loans or education loans are divided into 2 categories...federal and private. Federal loans are called Stafford, Perkins or PLUS loans. Private loans are non government backed, harder to get and very restrictive plus carry a much higher interest rate.

If the borrower is unemployed, will he/she qualified for loan.

Is there employment or income is required for qualify for this loan or not?

Most students are unemployed.

Most of this information can be obtained by googling student loans or visiting a US school website.
