I got my refund from AIP yesterday for $320!!! I had taken out a $200 loan with them back in January and paid this off in February. I ended up paying $556 on it. I just wanted to thank God for finding this site, and thank everyone for their support and encouragement not to give up and fight! You guys are angels!

Congrats, you have done a great job. Now that you have the PIF letter, how about claiming for the amount you have overpaid. You may involve your state attorney general into this matter. I hope you will get your money back.

Ruby, thanks for the congratulations. Don't know if my previous post was unclear or not, but I ALREADY got the refund check. AIP sent me a money order to cash for $320. So I got a really nice surprise over the weekend.

Okay, joshua! I'm finally reading it! Just a bit slow here! LOL! I am soooo happy. That's a good amount of money! I think I got refunded about $200 from them. At least we can make others aware they are fairly easy to work with! Have fun with the money!

I got the email notification from the BBB in regards to AIP's response after I got the money order. Yep, just like cannr said, they make themselves sound like angels:

Quote:
Dear Sir/Madam:

AIP has processed a loan for a particular lender called Cash Relief WorldWide Ltd that xxxx was dealing with. xxxx applied for this loan over the internet and was not solicited. However, because we receive few complaints, it is our policy to settle all customer disputs. xxxx has been refunded for the amount requested. The payment information has been enclosed.
Funny though, the date of the letter is dated July 17,2007, the money order date is July 23, 2007, and I just receive it today.

joshua, doesn't it crack you up? I thought it was hilarious when AIP "fixed" the problem and sent me a refund and THEN responded to the BBB telling them they had 'aready refunded my overpayment'. LOL! Whatever works, works! We got our refund! And I hope everyone else who has dealt with AIP gets refunds! File those complaints, people!

I just have a question I had a loan with AIP on 3/20/07. I paid $89.00 refinance charges on 3/30,4/06,4/13,and finally paid it off on 4/20 with a $289.00 payment. Is there any way that I can request a refund after a loan is paid in full? This loan was overpaid by $326.00. I live in Ohio and I was just curious if there was any way I could get my money back.

Yes. AIP is not licensed. They settled with me through the BBB once I filed a complaint. I got a refund for my total overpayment. Did you try filing them with the BBB? Should work.
