WOOOHOOO you have got to love it. After verbally telling an "attorney" off about an illegal pdl, and sending them a debt validation letter I recieved a very polite letter today.
And i quote.
"Due to the fact that there is not enough information on this debt from the original holder of said loan the current owner of this debt has agreed to close this claim and drop any legal procedings against your account.
We greatly appolagize for the inconvinence and any misunderstanding on the part of this office."
WOW that was sooo awesome. Backed em into a corner and right off the books :)

Creditors/collection agencies can make collection calls and file lawsuits against the consumers represented by the debt relief companies.
Debt relief services may have a negative impact on the consumer's creditworthiness and his overall debt amount may increase due to the accumulation of extra fees.
