Like many of you here I also got trapped with too many PDLs. I was lucky enough to find this forum and I have been reading and reading for the past couple of days.
I live in Maryland and I know that payday loans are illegal in this state.
I have 10 pdls and all of them are internet lenders. Only two of them are CSOs ( CashnetUSA and CashplusUSA) so this means are legal and I will try to pay them off.
The other 8 are with: Cardinal Management, FastMoney911, Integrity Advance, Shamrock, Paydaymax, Instant Cash, Staradvance and United Cash loans.
I have contacted Cardinal Management and they agreed to close my account. On a loan of 300$ I have paid 450$ so far. They don't want to give me a refund but I am happy to see that at least one of this pdls is done.
They said they cannot give me any confirmation in writing, the only thing I got was an e-mail saying: "You will have no further debits". Can I consider this a PIF? Am I really done with them?
I wanna thank everybody on this forum. You opened my eyes!!!
I have contacted FastMoney911 and it looks like I will get a refund and I also talked to the Integrity Advance people but those were awfully rude so I will have to push them a lot.

I can't believe that in only 3 days I have managed to knock out 3 of these awful pdls!!!! Fastmoney911, Cardinal Management and Shamrock LLC are gone!!! I am not getting a refund from either Cardinal or Shamrock but at least my account with them is closed and that is such a relief.
I have problems with Integrity Cash advance (Iadvancecashdotcom). They sustain that their business in Maryland is legal but when I ask for their license number somehow they cannot give it to me or they pretend they cannot access such information. Anybody here knows anything about them?
What about Paydaymax and InstantCashUSA? Are they legal?

What are CSO's? I live in Maryland also, have five outstanding pay day loans, and am hoping to get rid of all of them. I know for sure that one of them is Cardinal Management. What did you do in order to get the debt erased?

CSO's (Credit Service Organizations). CSO's must still be registered with the Sec of State. It's a different process then licensing, but most states have databases to search for registrations. Also, the contract will state if the business is a CSO.

Cardinal Management was one of the easiest to get rid off. I just called them and informed them that what they do is illegal. I had a 300$ loan with them and I paid 360$. They agreed to close my account and when my paycheck kicked in they kept their promise and they didn't go into my account.
By the way...I never closed my bank account so what I did was pretty risky but hey...they know they are illegal so they can't do too much

Can you tell me how you did this? I also live in Maryland and I was told that I have three of them. I do not remember 3 of them but some guy in Minnesota called me and told me that he was going to press charges on me! I don't want that. Can you help me.

Thanks
