Ok, so I got a response from Sagamore (not sure if that's a DBA or the actual company)... after only one letter, here's what they had to say...
I feel like I won a little victory today . One down... four to go!

I wasn't sure about the wording of my account being written off either, so I replied to make sure that my account status is "Paid in Full"... waiting on a response now.
