I had a loan with Payday One for $700 and paid over $800 and still owed $692 (how crazy is THAT). Anyway, once I closed my bank account and sent the letter letting them know that I knew they were illegal and had over paid, and demanded a PIF-- I got it! My current balance is ZERO.

Let's hope the others go that easily (I suspect they won't).

Interesting, Paydayone is usually legal in most states, and sometimes operates as a CSO, I am surprised you received a PIF. Congrats!

Maura,
What state are you in?
How did you determine that paydayone is illegal?

I'd like more details as well. To my knowledge PDO is legal in most states and operates as a CSO. Please share.
