When I checked my e-mail this morning I was expecting a million nasty e-mails since I have defaulted on all my loans, sent, e-mailed and faxed all my letters and have been waiting for the onslaught. Much to my suprise, I had a PIF in my inbox...and no nasty e-mails...yet!! Along with the PIF came a valued customer approval for $500.00.. (I was only approved for 300.00 the first time). I would so love to reply with exactly what I think but, I am going to take this and run...of course there was no mention of the refund they owe me but again...I am just happy never to hear from them again. There have been so many posts in which people are frustrated with the lack of response or the numerous phone calls, the letter writing, etc... Please do not give up. You never know what can happen. I did not expect this and have often been tempted to get a second job just to pay these people and be rid of them...but as I found out this morning, Someitmes there is a light.

Roxy, That is terrific. Those PIFS are always a welcomed sight. Does't it feel great. I started with 7 and am down to 4. Of the 4 I really have not been hassled too much. I switched jobs, so they cant find me at work. The 4 iI have left of course are so illegal. At this point whatever happens happens.I have the knowledge now to fight for what is correct for me to do

Yea for you Roxy!! It feel good to see some progress, huh?!

It also makes it worthwhile to to keep fighting the others when you can see yourself finally moving forward a little!!

Thank you all for your kind words and support. I was torn between posting this and/or letting this be a quiet victory. I decided to post..I hope that others will read it and know that if I can do it, they can too. It seems lately so many are feeling frustrated with their situation and I want them to know there is always hope and to keep on rolling that boulder up the hill. Very Happy

I'm glad you posted this! It was important to me when I first came on here to see that others had made some progress- it gave me hope! I think we all need to see that there are things we can do as consumers to know our rights, and be able to take control of our finances, instead of them controlling us!!..KAren Very Happy

Do not keep anything a "secret victory"! No, no, no! What do you think gives us the inspiration to keep going? Stories like yours! To know there is hope from certain pdl's! To know that you can indeed get a PIF from a pdl! You keep posting, honey! I know you'll get more & you better post them! Very Happy

Woo-hoo! I do think sometimes it is better to take it and run.
Then just make sure to spread the word so no one else ever gets into a mess with the same company.

Keep those postings coming. Some days when the chips were really down just reading how someone else made it helped give me the strength to keep going at mine. You've done an awesome job - CONGRATS!
