So this is how it started and how I ended up here.

Go ahead, go grab a drink or two, kick your feet up and have that nice little pillow handy to doze off on, cause it's rally not an interesting story.

About, oh 2 or 3 years ago, while shopping with my friend for her wedding, she had to stop at the cash store and do a payday loan. I asked her how it works, since we only get paid once a month and all of us are always broke come the third week in the month LOL

She told me and I told hubby (lonegunman). He said never to do the loans unless we absolutely needed it cause it could be a vicious cycle. (Do you realize how hard it was for me to tell him he was right??? It hurt more than handing over $1700 a month to PDL's)

Anyway, I did one here or there (he knew about it). Then Christmas came. So I did another one at the storefront. Then the end of the month came, so I paid it and took it out again 24 hours later. Then I found paydayok. So I took a little extra from there.

Then the end of the month came again. I paid everyone. Then I freaked cause if hubby saw that money missing, he'd ask and I didn't want to tell. So I took out another loan to cover what was just taken out, then I'd take out another one to cover that one, and the cycle continued....

Come September, a whole crap load of money was going to be taking out. I found lendingclub.com and applied for a loan. I told my PDL sob story and I got 100% funded. October 1st the loan money was in my account and it replaced all the money the PDL's took out. Then it was one thing after another, my sons 13th birthday, the car breaking down, the water heater busting, and so on...

I started with the PDL's again. I was so stressed and crabby. Everytime hubby mentioned money, I'd clam up.

I kept these PDL's from him for exactly a year. The weight that was lifted off of my shoulders was unbelievable when I finally told him. He was more mad at me because of the stress I caused myself than for taking out the PDL's.

I couldnt take it anymore, and about a month ago, my car died. Hubby was talking about getting a car loan and all that good stuff. He was talking to me over the phone since I was at work. I cracked, I couldnt deal with it anymore. I came home from work at midnight and just started bawling like a 2 year old to my hubby. I told him everything.

He was very supportive and we posted about our problem on some credit board he had belonged to. To me, that other board thought they were just too good for us. Then I stumbled onto this board. I couldnt believe their was so many people out there just like me in the same situation. And noone was passing judgement on anyone at this board.

I told hubby about this board and as you all know, he joined too.

And that is how we ended up here. With the help of this board I have received 1 PIF and a refund so far, and it's only been a week or two Smile

And thats my story. I'm sure Lone will be along and tell his story LMAO

There are so many people who came here with similar stories. Each one slightly different but with one thing in common. Being stuck on the PDL rollercoaster. I was one of them.
You are making great progress. Anytime you feel like saying what you feel do not think we will be bored or not interested. We are all here for you as you may one day be here for others. That is how and why it works so well. Enjoy your weekend!
