IRS Taxes Owed -- Payment Plan Defaulted

My mother owed the IRS about $10,000. We arranged a payment plan last month, but did not make the required payment.

She is currently on Arizona state disability -- do you know if they can take away her disability, or any part of it?

If that is her only source of income -- what can they do to her?

She could make the payments, but giving away $200/month for years on end when battling medical payments is a horrid burden.

Thank you for your help.

I believe that her disability can be attached because it is a debt to the IRS. Other's will be along to advise you further. I would suggest perhaps calling the social security department or the IRS and talking to someone.
