I paid mine up front.

To go through the Bank of Santa barbara tacks on Two additional Weeks to your refund.

Who would apply for a Rapid Refund anyway???

You are good to go with the direct deposit of your rebate then . . . .

I did find this little tidbit that was buried in several paragraphs of info posted back in February on the IRS website...

Quote:
The IRS reminds taxpayers when they file their 2007 tax return to use direct deposit, which is the fastest way to get both regular refunds and stimulus payments. However, taxpayers who use Refund Anticipation Loans (RALs) or enter into any other loan or financial agreement with their tax professional cannot receive their stimulus payments by direct deposit and instead will get a paper check
And I do see the info you mentioned on there now, Goudah. It took probably hundreds of thousands of people calling the IRS and chewing them out before they did it.

Gonna be up late tonight listing on Ebay. I wasn't counting on this money being there this week, but I sure was hoping for it.

I ALREADY knew I would get a check mailed. When I got my refund, I used the Emerald Card ( a debit card from HR Block). I ALSO got the Rapid Refund. yep..I agree with a few of you, some people are gonna be alittle ticked about the IRS not 'clarifying' things.

My last 2 digits are 46 too and the site says mine is scheduled for deposit on May 9th. I have been reading the forums and couldn't agree more that the IRS should have been far more clear with how the payments would be distributed. I have heard many people who state they are really needing it, so for the IRS to post definite dates that obviously were not definite, it is frustrating.

I hope everyone gets their soon and that you use it how you need to but leave a little bit for something fun...

You know when they gave these rebates a few years ago I don't remember there being this much confusion. I think back then I got mine in August and that's when they said I would get it. I don't understand what all the miss is about this time.

I got the letter dated 5/5/08 on 5/5/08 WTF...saying that it is being reviewed and to allow 60 days... this government doesn't know anything it is so screwed up .

My last 2 digits are 97 and so far the site is still not giving me any info at all on mine. It keeps saying I've entered the wrong info. I'm guessing this is due to it not having been scheduled yet. For the ones of you that the sites working for how long before yours was actually deposited did the site start telling you when to expect your money?

Thanks,
Johnita

It worked Tuesday afternoon, saying mine was due to be transmitted NLT Friday, 5/9. Now, I can't even find the tool on the irs website.

I still look daily but mine still says "we're sorry we have no information on your payment" And for me to check the information I entered. I'm hoping either tomorrow or maybe Monday it will actually be working and tell me something of use.
